MILFORD, NH - Nancy McManus, President of the Milford Elementary School
Parent Teacher Organization (PT0), announced today the PTO ís partnering
with NHToDo Magazine to raise summer campership funds for Milford elementary
students. McManus said, “For the past five years the Milford Elementary PTO
has provided camperships for twelve or more deserving students to area summer
camps, such as Winterberry Farm, Camp Naticook, Hampshire Hills, and Camp
Invention, to name a few. The recipients are often students that might not
have a chance to go otherwise. We are excited about working with NHToDo make
this possible again in 2005.”
On March 7, 2005, students will begin raising funds for camperships by participating
in the NHToDo Partners Program by selling subscriptions for the popular NHToDo
Magazine. The PTO will receive a percentage of the funds raised for every
subscription sold this year, and will continue to receive residual funds
for renewed subscriptions in future years. The subscribers receive twelve
months of NHToDo Magazine and a NHToDo ClubCard, valid for discounts and
money saving offers at New Hampshire attractions, inns, restaurants, museums,
and businesses.
NHToDo Marketing Director, Christine Zerillo commented, “NHToDo is thrilled
to help support the Milford Elementary School PTO in its fundraising efforts.
We think this is a win-win proposition. The school benefits, the campers
benefit, and the subscribers benefit. Each subscription pays for itself with
NHToDo ClubCard savings, and more importantly, delivers ideas to families
for fun, adventure, and excitement in our state. We’re excited about helping
Milford Elementary School PTO to reach their funding goal for 2005. And this
fundraising program also benefits New Hampshire veterans. NHToDo Executive
Editor, Daron Libby, has agreed to donate $1 from each subscription sold
to the Liberty House Veterans Shelter in Manchester. Through this program
we are truly partnering for a better New Hampshire.”
The program will last two weeks ending on March 18, 2005. Trish Shea, PTO
volunteer stated, “We’re confident that the PTO will meet or exceed our goal
for camperships this year and that subscribers will enjoy this wonderful
source of family-oriented events going on all over NH. Delivery of the magazines
will begin just in time for spring break and summer vacation. Participating
in the Partners Program does not feel like fundraising, but more like a unique
opportunity to let everyone know what is going on in our great state.”
