NHToDo shutting down!

ANNOUNCING

NHToDo is closing its doors after the July issue.. it’s true. Every business has its life cycle. When an idea is born and a new business is launched, the owner never knows how long she’ll run. Maybe a year or two. Maybe a hundred. My friend Dawn Whiting once told me, “I’ll tell you something. Deciding to close a business is a lot harder than deciding to start one.” The reason is that as the years pass, the owner becomes immersed into the business and it becomes harder to give it up. But nothing gold can stay and dawn goes down to day … and the day comes when you think and know, “It’s time to do something else.”

One key to choosing a fun way to live was provided by the Preacher in Ecclesiastes 9:10 “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might.” In other words, take ownership of your little corner of the world and give it everything you’ve got!

We did just that at New Hampshire ToDo for 11 years. It has been our great pleasure to present NH businesses and fun things ToDo to you, our readers. We know, with love, that you found much pleasure in reading NHToDo all these years and took some time to share our beloved state with the children in your lives.

We need passion to go about the high calling of our daily work. Believe in what you are doing––and enjoy it. But when the passion is gone, then, for heaven’s sake, do something else! That’s what we are doing. And they are and always will be … happy trails.
